About the Campaign

Start Talking Now is a statewide prevention campaign that encourages parents and caregivers to talk early and often with their kids about the risks of underage drinking and other substance use. Research shows that youth are less likely to use alcohol and other drugs when they know their parents disapprove.

This campaign gives families practical tools to start meaningful conversations, set clear expectations, and stay involved in their kids’ lives—helping them make healthy choices now and into the future.
